The elegant luxury charter sailing yacht ELENA was lovingly and meticulously built in 2009 to the original designs of the racing schooner of the same name that participated in record-breaking style in the 1928 Kings Cup Trans-Atlantic Race from New York to Santander. Using the original 1910 drawings by designer Nathaniel G Herreshoff, Factoria Naval de Marin has resurrected this new 55m ultra-luxurious Elena; featuring modern comforts whist maintaining the classical ornate interiors reminiscent of a period country home. Charter yacht Elena can accommodate 10 guests in private en-suite staterooms and has 8 highly experienced crew members who provide the upmost service as well as the ultimate sailing experience. She is an exciting choice for the sailing fanatic. She has an expansive deck, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. 2 tenders on board for exploration and extra sea toys can be made available upon request. Elena was fitted with a new boom, sail plan and bowsprit in 2012, based on the original 1911 sail plan. On the port side, at the foot of the main companionway, lies the owners stateroom with a double berth, an office-sized desk, seating for two and a particularly spacious bathroom. Each guest cabin is exquisitely finished with mahogany panelling, while all interior ornamental details follow the original Herreshoff designs. Numerous portholes provide natural light and keep you in visual communication with the conditions outside. The white panelled walls offset the mahogany beautifully and brighten the space below deck. A further three staterooms accommodate guests in one double and two twins. Each one has ample hanging and cupboard space built-in, as well as its own privately controlled air conditioning system. The en-suite bathrooms have separate showers and toilets and are finished with elegant period fittings.
